The Almit Group
Dr. Allan Mitchell formed Almit Metal Finishing Limited in December 1981.
Almit Metal Finishing is set up to carry out small batch specialised Electro-plating, Stainless Steel Pickle & Passivation, Paint Stripping and Zinc & Manganese Phosphate with a 24-hour shift system in order to give a rapid response to customer needs. We are proud to have attained ‘Investor in People’ status in December 2000.
The group also includes Specialist Coatings Limited, facilities include shot blasting, pre-treatment tanks, Powder Coating Booths, Wet Spray Booths, Ovens and an automatic Powder Coating Line. This Company concentrates on the pre-treatment & coating of aluminium, metal and plastic for the architectural, engineering and domestic sectors both in-house and on site as required. We are also able to offer a new environmentally friendly Goliath™ Gutter System (Patent Pending) for the coating of Architectural Gutters. Specialist Coatings has been a Dupont Alesta AP Approved Applicator since May 2003 and attained BS EN ISO 9001:2000 in January 2004.
A further member of the group is Timla Limited t/a Industrial Anodising Services & Aliprint;
Industrial Anodising Services carries out Hard Anodising, Bright and Standard Aluminium Anodising in a range of colours, along with Alocrom 1000 & 1200. Aliprint carries out a full manufacturing service for Anodised Aluminium Labels, Nameplates, Business Cards and Photallic Artwork comprising of Cutting, Screen-printing and Forming to customer requirements.
